Decent effort after last week. Much more commitment and skill.
If we'd played like that against Gloucester, we would probably
have won. Good work. Now let's build on it.

In other news, Newcastle appear to be winning a match. Doesn't
       happen often.

I wondered about that but I think he just couldn't go forwards
as fast as we were going backwards.

Well let’s hope the coaches look at that performance and start
most of that team next week
Played with some real pride in the shirt

Didn't watch but sounds much more positive. Pretty respectable
scoreline given the relative strength of the teams.

I reckon the effort was acceptable, no more. The scoreline and
the team selection makes it more pleasing. I think around 10
players with no champions cup experience or virtually none. It's
still annoying how physically weak our players look in contact
all too often, although I reckon that's more of a mindset issue
       than a purely physical one.

Yes, especially early on their players, and not just the big
forwards, made large carries with a few of ours just hanging on.
       Fortunately they kept cocking up.

I would class that performance as defeated but not unbowed. Most
players played their skins out against what was effectively an
Ireland side with a couple of top class ringers. There was no
stepping back and Murley in particular led from the frown with
his tackling and total commitment. Evan’s, Lawday and Carr
tackled their skins out. The contrast between this performance
and last week's was striking. I felt watching it that the team
decided that they didn’t care that they were playing Ireland but
would just get stuck in. Although the experience, and an amazing
bench, told out in the day at times Leinster were thrown off
their stride. Four tries were well deserved and more than I
expected. I thought Anderson had a very good game and really
deserved the try he was denied by the deliberate knock on.
I hope those who sat this game out looked on and thought ‘if I
don’t get my act together I’m sitting the next few games out.’
