Interesting selection. I doubt anyone's expecting much from
Quins, so it's Leinster's game to lose. As long as Quins give a
good account of themselves, I'm not fussed. Who knows, they
could even spring a surprise.
It's not a good unavailable list though. Especially when a few
of them played in the friendly.

I think it’s actually going to be fairly good for some of these
players thrust in. Quite often when someone gets chucked in at
the deep end, it really is sink or swim. Tyrone Green,
Kenningham, Lynagh all came in “suddenly” but made it their own.
Sure we might lose (ok will) but it will be a really good test
to see the character of the team, as we will need a bag load of
it to avoid being second from bottom come the end of the season.
I think it’s a good opportunity for Boris, Carr and Cleeves in
particular starting, with Friday off the bench.

For once I agree with you MQ, it will no doubt be a bruising
encounter, but it's a chance for Anderson, Cleaves, Carr,
Hobson, Schmid, Friday, Benson and Bradley to test themselves
against one of the best sides in Europe and understand what it
will take to perform at that level.

We must be desperate at back 3 if Anderson is in, shouldn’t be
in the Prem let alone starting in Europe.
I think we targeted Glos as an away 5 pointer, got humbled and
now have to rest players for next week.
Why does Kenners need a rest week after holding tackle bags and
water bottles?

He played most of the second half

Anderson had a few good moments against Glos. Maybe we're
starting to see what the coaches have seen in him. Maybe he's
just taken time to adapt to a higher level of rugby. If he keeps
on improving, that can only be good for the team. Not every
player shines from the moment they run out onto the pitch.

He's had plenty of opportunities to show if he can make the
grade in the prem and I've seen nothing to convince he can
🙁

Anderson is 26, not 20, if he genuinely had the ability he would
have even a main stay years ago. He’s championship standard
simple as

This is the problem that all clubs have, though, isn't it? Your
fourth choice players can't be premiership quality or they would
move to another club to get game time. Hell, even third choice
players won't stick around forever. So your "only play if there
are too many injuries or during international windows" players
are probably going to be championship level. You just have to
hope they can do the job without too much of a disaster. See Els
in the front row as another example
