Harlequins have named a strong matchday squad as to take on
Scarlets at The Stoop under the Friday night lights (19:45).
The Quarters welcome United Rugby Championship opposition to TW2
as preparations ramp up for the return of the Gallagher PREM and
the Investec Champions Cup in the coming weeks.
Alex Dombrandt returns to the base of the scrum to captain the
squad as part of a pack that features a front row of Will
Hobson, Jack Walker and Harry Williams.
The experienced duo of Joe Launchbury and Kieran Treadwell have
been named in the engine room, with Zach Carr and Will Evans
starting on either flank to accompany Dombrandt.
Will Porter starts at scrum-half with Jamie Benson at fly-half.
Ben Waghorn is set to feature for the first time this season
after a breakthrough 2024/25 campaign. He’s partnered with Oscar
Beard, who returns to the midfield after a short spell on the
sidelines at the backend of block one.
Jason Gilmore has selected an exciting back three that is packed
with pace. Cassius Cleaves lines up on the left wing, Cameron
Anderson on the right with Nick David marshalling the backfield
at full-back.
The Quarters have named a wide pool of impact players available
for selection for the fixture, which includes James Chisholm and
Lucas Friday who are both in contention to return from long-term
injury.
Elliot Williams, Tate Williams, Frank McMillan and Josh Bellamy
are also in the frame to feature against United Rugby
Championship opposition after making their senior debuts
throughout the PREM Rugby Cup campaign.
Tickets remain on sale in the DHL Stand (East) and Accounts IQ
Stand (West) for Friday’s fixture from £20 for Adults and £10
for Under-18s - buy tickets here.
2025/26 Season Ticket Members are advised to login to the
Harlequins Ticketing Site to claim their ticket in either DHL
Stand (East) and Accounts IQ Stand (West) ahead of the fixture -

Good to see a strong squad playing and particularly pleasing to
see Lucas Friday return!

Fingers crossed that Waghorn and Beard come through unscathed,
in particular Waghorn who is an endangered species being a real
inside centre, also good to see Friday back who is a potentially
generational player, the best young 9 we have had since Nick
Duncombe who was taken far too young.

Interesting to see Hobson at LH - I wonder whether they're
looking at him as a genuine option there, or just scraping the
barrel with Fin and Boris both on international duty.
