Coming from South of London Twickenham is much better.

It was a bit unfair to compare the train from Twickenham into
town with the Chiltern line out into the shires from Wembley
Stadium station. My last experience of Wembley was getting the
tube from Wembley Park after a concert. The queue was all the
way back to the steps at the stadium and it took ages to get to
the station. Although there were extra tubes the carriage was
still totally rammed. There’s also no real ‘escape route’ at
Wembley unlike at Twickenham where you can keep going into the
town or further and have a drink until the train quietens down.

The tubes from Wembley run every 4 or 5 minutes...

For travel, Wembley is (for me) far superior. I head north on
the Chiltern line and there's rarely any queues so it's always
super quick to get home.
For everything else, I prefer HQ

I can walk to and from Twickenham so no contest. The problem
with Wembley is its segregated areas. Once you’re in the section
your ticket is for you’re stuck there. It’s newer than
Twickenham but they are both concrete monstrosities with little
architectural beauty. The food and drink at either stadium is
equally poor and overpriced. That’s the standard for most venues
now in my opinion. The prime purpose of them both is to watch
football or rugby and you can do that perfectly adequately at
both. Maybe Wembley would be better because you can’t drink
alcohol while watching from the seats so you shouldn’t get so
many people getting in the way while you watch the games.

Twickenham. Can make of a day of it far more easily. Costs a
fortune but it does at Wembley too.
