       Cover tackler?

Did anyone else notice Pollock's blocking of the potential cover
tackler as Roebuck dotted down in the corner. Seemed pretty
obvious to me. Any thoughts as to why this wasn't picked up by
the ref and why the try was allowed to stand?

The cover player was never going to get there, and Pollock does
not have to change his line, he can keep running in the same
       direction.

For me, Pollock changed his line so it should have been penalty
All Blacks. But at least it wouldn't have changed the result of
       the game.

Pollock did a similar thing earlier in the game when he and
Roebuck broke down the right wing from our 22. But as others
have said, as long as the ref believes he hasn't changed his
       line then it's fine.

That's what happens when you're the new messiah. Unless you
Marcus Smith then you get all the sh*t.
Funny seeing the Bok fans on social media saying how they're
looking forward to smashing him next summer. I still think we
need to wait and see what kind of player he becomes and I don't
like all the showboating but fair play to him for being in the
right place at the right time, all the time. Saw one of the
Good, Bad, Rugby live events a couple of weeks ago and James
Haskell said you could push him out of a window and he'd land in
a skip full of winning lottery tickets

Probably a penalty by the letter of the law but so so rarely
       given.
Pollock's main problem is being English. If he wasn't the
primary narrative would be people thinking he's a great
character etc. I'm neither here nor there with his 'showboating'
but if he's winding SJ up he's probably doing something right.

Nominated for Breakthrough Player so somebody outside England
       likes him

If he were South African, there's no guarantee he'd even get in
the squad. They have a habit of producing excellent back rowers.

I meant more along the lines of he hasn't achieved much yet on
the pitch, as regards medals and consistent 60+ minute
performances but even the best team in the world are thinking
about him. That's achievement, I suppose.

I thought that refs didn't call this if the "blocking " player
was running a supporting line in position to take a pass.
