O/T Nations Championship 2026

The finals weekend will have three days of double headers, all
at Twickenham. Best of luck to the grounds staff!

So, it's goodbye to NH supporters doing a tour in the summer. It
was expensive enough when touring to a single country. Now it's
going to be even worse. Okay, the first version sees us playing
2 games in South Africa before flying to Argentina, you can see
that the 2028 version will end up with England playing Aus, NZ,
and Japan. that's a lot of long haul flights. Even if they did
the journeys in that order, that'll be 24hr flight to Aus, 4 hrs
on to NZ, then 17hrs to Japan, and finally 15hrs back home.
Also, think of the physical affect on the players by playing 3
games in three different time zones on three consecutive
weekends. If you're spending a day of your recovery after
playing the All Blacks travelling in an airplane, that's not
going to be conducive to easing any muscles.
It's a lot easier for SH supporters coming up North, as all of
the hosts are a couple of hours apart at most, and a lot can be
covered by road or rail.

The middle easts involvement in sport is one of the worst things
to happen in recent times. Buying up influence everywhere. Good
luck getting a beer there too for the games!

It's part of a long term strategy by the petro-states of the
Middle East. They can see the way the wind(mills) are turning in
terms of energy production away from petrochemicals and to
nuclear, renewable, etc. They need to find a way to generate the
income that the rich and powerful are used to before it's too
late. Investing and "owning" sports rights means they can pivot
to making money from that instead.
