There's an awful lot of "tackling optional" on display from
Quins

Not sure how many supporters who've come to this will turn up to
the next cup home game.

Well, I'm glad I didn't see this one. Looks a miserable
scoreline. The Argentina-Scotland game was entertaining, though.
Massive collapse by Scotland.

Not sure about anyone else but I thought it was a good
afternoon. Obviously we lost which was inevitable given the team
selections but the game itself was pretty exciting. I'm
certainly going to go to the next one.

Tackling was apparently not part of the game plan. But lots of
kids getting a run out.
The positives were there were about 7500 in so no queues for the
loo or beer.

If that’s the future of Quins then we’re in big trouble.
Saracens had a similarly youthful team out so our selection is
no excuse
Murray looked good at scrum half, but we’ve too many average
young players who are clearly never going to make the grade with
us so why persist? The likes of Hyde, Bradley and Musk and have
been in and around the first team for years so are hardly that
inexperienced but they regularly offer nothing when picked

I don’t think the Sarries team was similarly youthful. Malins
and Willis both proper internationals, Tiz is experienced, but
equally yes, some pretty horrendous tackling at times. Our
youngsters looked a bit underpowered all told. Wasn’t as dismal
as the scoreline looked to be honest. Some bright moments but a
few guys don’t seem to have pressed on a huge amount.

Not entirely convinced many in the category of older academy
players like Bradley/Hyde are going to really make it. From what
we’ve been used to over the years it’s probably one of our
weakest in a long time for an overall crop
