I would say that if Quins continue to get crowds like the last 2
games and they don't make a profit this year, then they are
probably doing something very wrong.

Will the profit be invisible like the spectators were?

I'm not sure which game you were at. The stand seemed very full
where I was.

The cameras in the Stoop are in the West and South Stands. The
crowd for women's matches are also in the West stand. I am
pretty sure we have explained this before.

Another good game against the top team. Seemed like a decent
turn out to me. They have more depth in the squad so the bench
was better than Quins could cope with. I think not having our
Irish star may be hurting the squad . Having said that there are
some emerging players who are performing very well.
Regarding the Salary Cap in the PWR, I was informed that
it was only a guideline not a rule/law. That was a couple of
years ago so it could be different now. It was during a
discussion about how a particular team had attracted so many
England internationals as well as other big names. It was with
people who are very involved in Women’s rugby so I assume that
they knew what they were talking about.

If it was a couple of years ago then it could well have been
true for the Premier 15s but the PWR has a salary cap regime
that as far as I can see is similar to (and with similar
enforcement to) the Prem.
As to how G-H developed such a good team, I don't think there's
any big secret. Hartpury College was a pioneer in offering a
degree programme alongside access to top flight women's rugby,
and has bolstered that with things like a player development
programme sponsored by Vodafone. Gloucester took the tie-up with
Hartpury seriously, and in Sean Lynn they had a head coach who
inspired a lot of loyalty - so they basically established a very
well integrated pathway that attracts a lot of high potential
players.
Loughborough obviously have something similar, and it's a bit
puzzling that they haven't converted it into trophies but that
may be because Loughborough has a broad focus on sport and not
G-H's laser focus on rugby.
Quins are trying to build something similar with Surrey Uni,
with a team that is aiming for promotion to the top tier of BUCS
for next season and a coaching squad that includes Lagi Tuima,
Shaunagh Brown and the third Chisholm brother. It's a programme
that Ms Poorfour Maj hopes to be part of next year (though she
has G-H as a backup)

You’re probably right poorfour as it is now PWR. A good thing
too if it is now being enforced. The team they were referring to
wasn’t the two that you mentioned, it was “the usual suspects “
creating something special who did win nearly everything during
the Prem 15s.
