Straight yellow for Sale; a warning for Quins. Once again, the
anti-northern bias shows 😏

This statistical approach and presentation of facts rather than
anecdotal opinion and letting people make up their own minds
approach has no future.

Indeed, that's one of the things that is freqently levelled at
him... him being a stats man.

structure wholesale (not a terrible decision as they didn't have
an attack coach who could come up with his own system). As a
result, Saints players (many of whom are definite quality) are
strongly represented in the backs. This gives Fin Smith a big
advantage, even though I don't believe he is 'better' than Ford
or Marcus Smith. He plays with those players all the time, and
plays the same moves with them.

Whilst I can see the theoretical logic here, there's an obvious
flaw in the thinking. If Saints' attack was good enough to beat
tier 1 international teams, you'd expect them to be leading the
Prem by some margin. But if you play a strong Prem backline
against e.g. the best that France has to offer, you may come
unstuck.

Not if their defence is Nat 1 level

To be fair, they are leading the Prem and are unbeaten so far
this season.

But drawn one. Unbeaten, but not all-conquering 😉
