To be fair, Slade has almost always had good seasons at club
level. He's just never found the peak of his club game at
       international level.

The comments on the BBC are hilarious.
Football fans with spare time on there hands.
Borthwick has lots of fly half talent so can afford to mess up
Marcus with his utility player obsession.
Pollock is now covering the wing apparently!!!

Well, that's not restricted to BBC HYS [emoji846].
The one that always gets me is Bristol. Quite often I've never
heard of their "nailed on internationals who have been
unbelievably overlooked again". I know I don't follow club rugby
outside Quins that much these days but this only seems to happen
       to me on their board.

Fitz Harding is a good example. Incredible workrate, but just
always seems to end up getting smacked about when it matters.
Absolutely a huge part of Bristol's success but I'd have about
10 players ahead of him for England, even though he's very
obviously a very good rugby player...

He is a good club player, but has never shown that except for
brief moments for England, after a lot of chances.

Yup, he was definitely one of them!

I do think he's doing better this season than he has for quite a
while. Maybe it's just a result of having Ikitau inside him now.
He's going to be in the England reckoning, inevitably,
particularly if Freeman doesn't work out at 13, so it's going to
be a matter of trying to get the most out of him. I'd rather see
       Lawrence at 13, personally.

I think his form was excellent on tour and pre Ikitau for
Exeter. He genuinely has been good. The trouble for England is
that he usually is either making game losing defensive errors or
his attacking game goes to pot with a high error count. The
latter is very strange for such a classy player and the former
probably wasn't helped by the kamikaze defence England tried to
       use for so long

I think that’s possibly true of every club.
Harding is quite possibly no less known outside Bristol than WEv
       or Tyrone are outside Quins.
And exactly the same could have been said of Sale fans’ wish to
get Sam James or the du Preez twins more international
       recognition.

Well maybe, but that's not my experience, although I'm entirely
       unfamiliar with Sam James 🙂
But, I hardly ever look at the Glos or Sale boards.
And I'd say Evans and Green, and Kenningham for that matter, are
all fairly frequently mentioned on the rugbynetwork boards.
It was just meant as a light-hearted aside, though.
       🙂👍
