There are enough wingers in there that he never needs see game
time, but I still have a suspicion he may get some minutes in
the Fiji game. He *could* just be there for Borthwick to get a
better look at, but it would be nuts to throw him in after two
premiership games, one of which he didn't look particularly good
in.

Not sure what Radwan needs to do to get into the squad. Grow
another foot tall, I suppose.

Yup, pretty much. Why pick a could small 'un when you could pick
a good big 'un. Will Evans has suffered from the same viewpoint.
It's a shame but Borthers mindset has always seemed to me about
minimizing mistakes rather than attacking flair. Seems to me his
vision is to build a side like '03 that cam grind it out. For me
the game and the rules have moved on and he should be thinking
about how do we score 4 or 5 tries a game.
He should've done an Eddie and brought Calouri in as an
apprentice.

I get that there's a lot of kicking to compete in rugby at the
moment, and that's something a team can't ignore, but there has
to be more to a winger's job. Speed, footwork, and agility
should count for something, too. South Africa and France don't
seem to mind including smaller wingers when they are good
enough.

I don't think Caluori lacks in those departments but it's really
too early to say. And as someone who's never been on the Radwan
Train before, I have to agree with the Tigers fans who think
he's really progressed since joining them. His work in the air
is at the very least good enough, his attacking game has
improved, and his defensive attitude is far better. He'll still
make some defensive mistakes but so will every back 3 player we
pick.
I can't comment on his kicking game but I do think there's room
for at least one strike runner like Radwan. It's the spot Murley
has, for example, or Sleightholme when he was getting picked.
It's very strange to me that we don't take advantage of players
with absurd strengths when they're bang in form.

Yeah. I think Murley and Radwan occupy the same option, and
obviously I'd rather Murley got it! But I don't actually think
either will be in the 23 for big matches. I think England will
go with Feyi-Waboso on one wing and either Freeman or Roebuck on
the other. Although Arundell might get one of the spots, for no
real reason.

To be clear, I think Freeman, Roebuck and Feyi-Waboso are
excellent wingers, but it does seem like certain wingers like
Radwan who have a different point of difference don't even get
considered. Maybe that's how it has to be for an England team,
but there's something to be said for the exhilaration of
watching an incredibly fast, agile winger score spectacular
tries.

Radwan just seems if he will never be selected under the current
great leader, and has improved so much since going to the
Tigers, the selection of Arundell seems to negate the arguments
around not selecting Radwan.
I was never a fan when he was at Newcastle but now he should be
in the squad, and on present form offers what Arudell does in
attack but with much better defence and work rate.

Whereas England kept going with Steward, who was great at
watching players go past him. But hey, he was good in the air.
Thankfully, they seem to have realised his limitations.
