       Poor effort. 🙂

Being six foot five, sort of helps.

You're right A222, I will try harder next time. Something about
       Jonah Lomu comparisons 😁

On tonight's performance, he's just another young player with
potential, but in need of more experience!

Yeah. Played against a good back 3, won a penalty in the air,
did nothing else of note. Tackled well - uses his size
effectively and he's not slow - but not a day to remember.

Yeah. He was beaten in the air several times, and when Saints
kept the kicks away from him, he got far less involved. He'll be
a decent player, maybe a great one one day, but Freeman was
vastly better and shows what experience and talent together can
       do.
We (by which I mean commentators and journalists) don't do young
players any favours by hyping them up so much before they've had
a chance to really be tested and develop their game.

I agree.Although there is an element of giving the
watching/listening public what they want too.

The amount of strapping he had on his ankle looked less than
ideal and he was carrying an injury, he still looked to be a
good player in the making, but this was an introduction to the
real world for him less than 100% fit and against good wingers
       who had seen him play.
Best to see how he develops and how he adjusts now that
opposition teams will know what he brings to the party, rather
than rush him into potentially career damaging situations before
       he is ready.
The other problem may be long term if the kick laws change
again, because the present laws have just caused more kicking,
and less attractive attacking play, as putting up a high ball to
compete for favours the attacking team.
The ability of wingers in the air has become disproportionate to
other skills with the present laws, and do we really want every
winger to be at least six feet three.
