He's 19 years old and has played one premiership game. Borthwick
is suggesting an England debut in two weeks.
Maybe the kid will turn out to be an all-time great player for
England, but this seems absurd.

“I think he could certainly feature this autumn,” the England
head coach said.
If that happened, you'd think it would be most likely against
Fiji in just over a couple of weeks. Unlikely to be against NZ.

Radwan deserves a shot before him in my view and has looked good
this season. Murley needs a few big games to probably get his
name mentioned in dispatches to nudge ahead again, despite the
Summer, as he's had a fairly subdued start by his standards.
We do love chucking someone in when they aren't ready (Matthew
Tait) but then if you are good enough, you are good enough. I
suspect he will get a few starts for Sarries now and we can see
before the AI's if he really has what it takes. Competition for
the wing probably has never been greater for England though
which is never a bad thing.

This season's Henry Pollock, or is it Henry Arundell???? So
difficult to know these days with all of this world class talent
around 😁

He needs to be playing fairly regularly for Saracens before he
should be considered, in the England age groups he has not been
a regular starter, and he will be interesting to see if he
starts for the U20’s this season.
There is an entire cab rank of very good English wingers and he
is 19, so with luck he will get time at club and U20 to develop,
just throwing him into the national side with one appearance is
a big risk for him.
His abilities will no doubt appeal to our glorious England head
coach, but let’s give him a proper chance and not just throw him
in at the deep end, he was brilliant in that game and looks like
a real prospect, so start him in the U20 6N, and then go from
there.

When Brown-Bampoe gets on TV a bit more I think there'll be a
lot of interest in him, too.
Radwan I fear for as I don't think he's got the brains or the
decision making for the international game, but I absolutely
want to see him given a real chance because if it works it could
be incredible

I jest but I do feel for these young lads. The Rugby media is
dreadfully fickle and as soon as they're not putting in 9-10/10
performances every week (as no player does!) they'll move on to
the next big thing. You just have to hope their coaches,
teammates etc help keep them grounded in all this.

I think that young back 3 players look amazing when they start.
They usually have loads of pace and are fearless.
But, at some point, they usually tend to get some sort of leg
injury and spend some time in rehab.
When they come back, sometimes they are a bit different.
Maybe slightly slower; maybe they bulked up a bit during the
injury; maybe they are a bit more cautious; or maybe just a bit
wiser.
Take our own Cassius. He was the "next big thing". But, one
serious injury and he is now having to get his mojo back.
Young wingers / fullbacks really need to be nurtured. If you can
manage their load earlier on, then maybe this first injury may
not happen.
Throwing them into the England mix at 19 is probably not the
nurturing they need.
