The whole point of the change in tackle laws was to encourage
tacklers to bend and in so doing to lessen (note: not remove)
the possibility of both heads being in the same space.
LCD went in upright. Dan bent at the waist. It just so happened
that SiMac was also bent at the waist so his and Dan’s heads
collided but Dan had done exactly what the law changes want to
encourage. LCD had not.

Yes, but the tackle technique was still poor and he still caused
a brain injury with direct head contact as a result. The fact
that it wasn't even penalised was a farce.
Coluori was really good but Warburton calling him the greatest
aerial player he'd ever seen was a really good example of just
how naff the TNT hype machine is these days. It actually causes
me to instinctively take against players through no fault of
their own. Anyway, will be interesting to see what happens when
he plays against a good back 3 rather than Reed and O'Flaherty.
Thought Ford was a borderline liability in defence today, the
number of times he looked massively off the pace when trying to
cover or tackle was worrying. Just too slow and physically
underpowered.

This is exactly it. As soon as you hear the fapping it makes you
despise the player. It was Rom Toebuck last week. This week not
a word about 5 tries down his wing.

They did criticise him for biting in on one, but to be fair he
was not the problem compared to Reed melting down, Ford's
rubbish attempts at sweeping, and TOF being not good enough. The
rest of the time they were at least a man down.
I was surprised they didn't swap him to Coluori's wing early on
once it was obvious that Reed was wetting the bed.

regards kicking off the tee.

Six tries is the record Ryan Constable for Saracens against
Bedford 2000 and Wade against Worcester 2016.

Players have off days from the tee. Marcus has had them, so has
Ford.
Farrell actually had a pretty good game. He's become more subtle
in some of the stuff he does than he used to be. He basically
made the same reverse flip out the back of the hand that had
given the commentators orgasms when Russell did it earlier in
the day, for instance.

That's always the problem with the 'so called' experts. A good
game and your nailed on a bad one and you should be discarded,
regardless.
The England team would be changing every match if you listen to
them.
