Winning isn't always everything but it does help, but
regardless, if you were to lose you'd want it to be at least a
gripping encounter with still positives building on things for
the future games to come where there were signs things were
clicking or we were competitive for the full game. Blend that in
with the match day experience. As a one off its not too bad, but
if you walk away from most home games as ST thinking we were
just crap and no improvements on offer, you'd be disheartened to
say the least, certainly if you shelled out for a ST with a new
price banding.
If it was directly offered for us to win most games 12-9, I'd
pick that over losing 25-23 most weeks, as one approach gets
you a possible day out at Twickenham, one does not.

Think we also have to take into account those that post on
forums, or go to away games etc etc, are a pretty small minority
now
There are plenty that go for “ The day/night out” and the rugby
is not as important to them.
And no doubt will still keep coming as long as there is beer on
tap, fireworks and. DJ, and enjoy the social

Perhaps we could keep the beer, fireworks and DJ and just stop
playing the rugby. It would save money.

Launchbury shouldn't be anywhere near the starting team, nor
really on the bench. He was a wonderful player, but he is far
past it. He's done nothing in a Quins shirt.
The others are a fair call, but Northmore is also an excellent
player. He had a bad day, but there's very little between him
and Beard, and I don't think Beard would have made any
difference.
Dombrandt we did miss, and we are all hoping Waghorn will prove
to be the 12 we need, although he's still new. Chisholm,
perhaps, but Kenningham and WEvans were the only two decent
players in our team at the weekend, so where would we play him?

Time for a talented head coach/DOR, who moves us forward without
throwing away our dna and history.
We also need to retain the good players coming through from our
academy, we seem to have not invested enough in our head
coach/DOR and just employed people and hoped for the best, a
decent coach will not be cheap and will need time.
A Diamond type of coach is not I believe the answer, but we need
to try to recruit a top level coach, if those sort of coaches
would want to come, is another question.

there is a large percentage of the Friday night gate who
probably wouldn't even notice/care if there was no rugby played.

I think we need to go a steal Chris Boyd from Munster.
His style of play at both the Hurricanes and Saints is exactly
the ultra-attacking Quins DNA model.
If we are going to lose I'd rather it was 50-48 than 38-0.

Our DNA needs to be genetically modified to the point where the
team gives its all every single game. For all the ocassional
talk of "the performance wasn't good enough" I just don't think
the coaches and players hold themselves to high enough standards
and I have very little confidence that will change.
