Don’t disagree, but he suited the game today, nice to have the
number of options he brings, and he is only going to get better,
we need to hold on to him.

Benson was good today and is definitely the future, only made
one real defensive mistake today.

That was a great performance. Scoreline absolutely flattered
Saracens, who I thought (bar the one try in the 1st half) looked
really poor.
Time to back it up but our pack looks really strong, second rows
were immense. And Benson is really coming of age, class in
defence. Our attack still seems a bit stodgy but hopefully with
some consistent selections we can get it working more smoothly.
I’ve been very critical of the setup so for this season as it’s
looked ridden with oversight, but today’s has given me hope.
Just need to keep that team consistently out on the field and
who knows where we can get to.

I've never been a huge Faz fan. I always found him hugely
frustrating for England as he'd sit so deep, yet for Sarries
he'd challenge the gainline. And why, when he's playing 12, does
he insist on being first-receiver? I feel for a young player
like Burke who on the evidence of today, looks like he's being
suffocated by his presence.
Regardless of his legacy, picking him for England at either 10
or 12 would be a massive backward step. He hasn't played well
for at least 18-months and doesn't deserve to be in the
conversation given the options available.
On a separate note, Sarries missed Itoje and McFarland big-time
this afternoon.

And that's playing at 12, when he's really a 10. I think it's
forgiveable not to be quite up to speed on defending as a centre
when it's not your normal position.
Talking about centres, Beard was massive today. After seeing how
well Will Joseph played yesterday, I was frustrated that we'd
lost him, but Beard was fantastic.

You and Jammy are missing the point. It doesn't matter which
position he plays or how well he plays. He drives standards, is
a test match animal and brings an extra 1-2%, all of which are
far more important than actually playing well.
I feel for burke. No doubt he'll say how much he's learning with
Farrell's calming presence outside him, but he'd learn more
being allowed to run a game

Yeah, and Benson would learn more without Marcus playing,
perhaps. But you have to earn the right to get the shirt. I know
we all hate Farrell, but he was good today, comical dropping of
the ball notwithstanding.

Saracens have a centre crisis similar to ours, will be
interesting what they do when they get some of them back, will
Farrell play 10 then or be on the bench.
