Same side as beat France, should be a good match, England if
they need motivation just need to look at some of the Canadian
media, which is quite amusing considering one man and his moose
turned out to Watch Canada and England in the WXV last year in
Canada.

Canada have been the best team throughout the world cup. That
said, England have the capacity to be the better if they get it
together. Should be a great match.

The Red Roses have selected an excellent side. The forwards are
a unit that can beat anyone up front, along with a set of backs
to take any side apart.
However the Canucks have shown that they’re not a side that
should be treated with ease. They showed against NZ that they’re
a force to be reckoned with.

Canada are the form team at the moment, while England have the
higher ceiling - but are playing way further from it (and
haven't been challenged to find any further gears).
Canada are the team that worried me the most pre-tournament -
they've got the tight game to defend our rolling maul, and the
vision/speed to get around our narrow defence. We'll have to see
something from England that we haven't seen so far (but know is
in there somewhere) to come out on top.
That said, England will have the home crowd... and the pressure
of expectation.
Canada will only really have positive motivations - a last
chance for many of their players, and "you've seen what we can
do, now fund us" to their union, and technically, the underdogs
(based purely on world ranking).
I think Canada get on top fairly early, and England will adapt
and finish stronger - but will it be enough?

I just don't buy that line, for all that it's being repeated by
everyone from Ruby Tui to Simon Middleton.
Throughout the tournament, England have scored more points than
anyone else, and conceded fewer, despite having less possession
and territory than any of the other leading teams. They've
tended to start games slowly - mostly because pretty much every
opponent has treated England as their RWC Final and thrown
everything but the kitchen sink at them. But the corrollary of
that is that they've finished games strongly (and for the past 7
years have regularly scored or been in a position to score at
the death, including in the 2021 Final).
If that's being further from your ceiling, then I fear for the
rest of the rugby world when they finally get close to it.
What people actually mean is that Canada are playing prettier
and more exciting rugby, and that is absolutely true.
What they are ignoring is that Canada have tended to build early
leads and then defend them. Yes, they scored 5 tries vs the
Black Ferns in 43 minutes and didn't concede any penalties for
60 minutes. But they also scored 3 points in the remaining 37
minutes and conceded 6 penalties in the final quarter.
So, the question is: can Canada do enough with their attacking
style in the first 50 minutes, against the best defensive team
in the tournament, to build a lead that they can defend as they
tire and the best bench and most efficient attacking team in the
tournament start to turn the screw?

Popped into Twickenham this morning, did I see England flags
everywhere? Did I see ANY mention of the WORLD CUP FINAL
happening with England in the final?? NOPE!! Very strange!!!

The walk from the station to the stadium has RWC 2025 flags on
the lampposts (or did yesterday so I guess they may have come
down)
The station has RWC and red roses themed advertising including
on the Sainsbury’s in the station concourse
It does seem to be more focused on the station to stadium route
but I guess that is where most people will be tomorrow
