Some good choices there, but I have long thought Kane James is
overrated. He's an exceptional physical specimen, but whenever
I've seen him play he has shown a lack of maturity and game
awareness. He tries to do too much stuff himself and doesn't use
his abilities to draw tacklers and bring team mates into the
game.
I'm sure we're all hoping that Cleaves can stay fit but also
that he heeds what is said about him in that article. Murley is
a good role model to follow in terms of what a Quins winger
needs to do off the ball, and I hope Cleaves doesn't end up in
the Wade camp of "I'm so quick I don't need to learn
positioning" or, worse, the Ibitoye one of "I'm so quick I'll
rely on that, learn the hard lesson by being dropped, and then
flourish in a different club."

In the limited outings Cleaves has had when not injured, he's
done the unglamorous work as well as using his pace. I am hoping
he just needs a good run of games to reduce his error count -
this goes for several of the newer players - and then we'll have
a better idea of his future.

Watching the pre-season games I've been unsure if he's lost a
yard of pace or if teams have realised the error in giving him
any space. As was commented on here during the Benetton game,
the fact that he was chased down by their 15 having made an
interception was a real surprise. Either way I'd agree that he
do worse than follow Caden, Isgro and Nick David's examples of
finding ways to get involved as often as possible

Key season for Cassius, one more season and he won’t be in the
“young” age bracket anymore.
I think Sean Sharp may be a surprise this season if he’s bulked
up a bit more

It looks like he's playing at Tonbridge Juddians RFC, with
Gjaltema/White/Earle etc under Jordan Turner Hall! If anyone
needs a Nat 1 club to support...

I do worry about Cleaves. At the beginning of last season, he
looked absolutely electric, but then he got injured, and this
preseason he hasn't looked the same at all.

The commentator made a mistake - it was Ludo Kolade who got
chased down.

Blimey. As an Old Juddian I played a game for them myself once,
a long time ago. They're taking themselves much more seriously
these days

The point about Cass coming back from a hamstring injury and
possibly being cautious about going flat out is actually a
relief. If he's just holding back till his confidence returns,
that's no bad thing.
