Pretty much England's strongest side - but any of the bench
players would have a good claim to start. Fantastic to reach
this stage of the tournament with everyone fit.

It depends on whether France can get the ball to their outside
backs - something Bourdon-Sansus can easily spark - or whether
England get the game in a chokehold through their forwards.
It's the other semi final that looks more likely to be a close
one, though - NZ have been scoring freely through their
backline, but South Africa showed that a team that can take the
fight to them up front can keep them out of the game. Canada
have the pack to do that - but have in the past been short of 80
minute fitness. I expect Canada to have a half-time lead, but
the big question will be whether it's big enough for them to
hold on until the final whistle.

Second half has been better. First half was reminiscent of
SA/Wales semi final in 2019.

Well, for much of that game, England were fucking terrible, but
then so were France. Maybe it was the weather (why schedule a
world cup for this time of year in England?), but both of these
sides looked like they would be ripped to shreds by Canada, who
were faster, more accurate, and more physical.
England are going to have to do a lot better next week or
there's going to be another finals disappointment.

That was a very anxious game until we got going near the end.
Hope they can manage the emotions and get the players in the
right mindset over the next week. Englands depth showed again
but they haven’t won anything yet. I believe in their ability to
win the World Cup.
