we'd be better at the end of season simply using their Salary
maybe for someone in the young mould. Personally, I'd love us to
tempt Kpoku. I could see him being swayed by
Sale/Sarries/Bristol over us though

Launchbury and Lewies should both be moved on in the summer, but
in terms of combining their wages I don't think two into one
works. You really need four senior locks in a squad, plus a
blindside who's comfortable in the row and then the academy.
No doubt Kpoku would be a good addition though.

But how many minutes? And how many consecutive prem/Champions
Cup games?
At his best, Lewies has been totemic for us but sadly he's been
a bit part player for a long time now.

I can see Quins looking very attractive for players to join at
the moment. Some real quality in the squad, and new DoR (sort
of), and a good chance of regular game time. And with our Argies
and Marcus back, I can see us winning a lot more games.

There are detailed stats at
HTML https://all.rugby/player/stephan-lewies
- averaged 64 minutes in
his 12 games last season but that was somewhat skewed by 26
minutes in a Prem Cup game. 4x80 mins and 1x79mins in there.

If you click the link provided you'll see exactly how many
minutes and how many consecutive games

Thanks. Not quite sure how I missed the link!
So he's featured in 24 matches over the past two season, down to
21 if we exclude prem cup. There's 22 guaranteed league and
European games per season excluding playoffs and knockouts. So
he's been available for just under 50% of games. A slightly
higher ratio then I'd of of thought.

It's OT but some may be interested to know that Tonbridge
Juddians fielded 3 ex Quins (Gjaltema, Merrick and Earle) and
still were soundly beaten as it wound up 40-0.
Gjaltema wearing 12!

Also Archie White at 8.
Feels quite telling that our ‘squad depth’ players weren’t
wanted by any other prem or even championship clubs and are
still making seemingly little impact in Nat 1

I think I remember White saying on Jess & EK’s podcast that he’d
lost the love of the game. Less that he wasn’t wanted by
Prem/Champ clubs but more that he didn’t want it any more.

Earle is the one I think that surprises me most. He’s being
played at FB mostly too but has also played 13. I can imagine
they aren’t cheap for a nat1 wage but looking at their early
season results they probably aren’t getting the results they
wanted.
