91.4% of Quins fans have no confidence of reaching the top 4.
That's pretty sobering. I wonder what the figure would have been
in 2022 for the same question

Or in November 2020.
As a reminder, Quins finished the (heavily disrupted) 2019/20
season in 6th but 16 points off 4th. Your opening game of the
season on 20/11/20 was a home 30-3 loss to Chiefs.
You did alright that season

Don't think anyone but Bath is nailed on for the Top 4. I think
I've been around too long to be too optimistic, but nor do I
enjoy being that pessimistic so we'll just see what happens.

I think Sarries will be improved this year as Farrell will
probably get that extra 1% out of those around him. Bristol have
kept a good squad and LRZ will add to a very dangerous backline.
Ibitoye and LRZ will be box office for them considering they
have a decent pack. Saints I can't quite figure out but i think
early season will struggle with the absentees. Gloucester are
also difficult to call as they've lost a few players.

Could well happen MQ but the converse to that is that Fazlet
will have to recover his form of over 18 months ago swiftly to
'drive standards'. He looked meh on the Lions Tour and was
injured for half of last year and bang average for the other
half when he actually played. They're a very good side, no
doubt, but nowhere near as hard to beat as they were a while
ago. Same with LRZ at Brizzle - could go really well but again
he's barely played rugby for a couple of years. Bristol also
have an almost Quinsesque ability to kick themselves in the
knackers when things look really good. Often seem to only have
Plan A too which is really effective when it works but it has
been stopped quite a few times by top sides (Sale around
Christmas last year is 1 quick example I can think of) and they
don't seem to have adapted much.

They may as well move to a franchise league with 12 teams in a
couple of years and 14 in five years.
That may avoid the inevitable litigation that this will bring
and provide a stable environment for everyone, lets the champ
teams that want to be promoted put up or shut up, and the
phoenix teams bid as well if they want.
Could be tied into the PWR so teams must have women’s teams
affiliated to them.
Would any promoted team survive in the Prem with the present
structure , or would it just be London Welsh the sequel, would
also add to the resale value of the existing teams.
There would probably be a stringent framework around income and
expenditure as there is in the USA, that may impact several
teams that have no chance of ever being a self financing entity,
but that comes with being a franchise.

while still allowing for promotion.
