Same here. I think our squad has a number of underrated players,
and they just haven't clicked yet. I see similarities with our
previous champion squads. Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but at
odds of 25-1 with Coral it could be a nice earner.

I can't imagine there will be a relegation play-off if the Champ
Champions can't or don't want to be promoted.

Worcester will want to be promoted, the Champ will be between
them and Ealing, who can't be promoted, as they can't get
planning permission from Ealing council.

Would seem pointless but not seen anything to confirm that is
the case. Would be like at the end of a game show where they
show you the prizes and say...."And heres what you could have
won!"

I thought that technically there would have been a play-off last
year but with Doncaster being the only team eligible it was
clear there was no need for a play-off well before the season
ended.

I can't see us making top 4, but I'm not sure that there is too
much between us, Glos, Sale, Brizzle & Saints. Think Newcastle
and Exeter will still struggle this year. Bath, Sarries (if
Fazlet stays fit) and possibly Tiggers are a step up. I think
there's realistically 6-8 clubs playing for places 3&4.

I think Exeter and Newcastle will be better than last season due
to good recruitment and, in Exeter's case, change of coach. I
don't think either will be push-overs, and I think we might have
a tighter season at the bottom of the league.

Not sure I’d put Tigers up with Bath. Last season, it was any 3
from 5 could’ve made top 4 behind Bath. Since then Tigers have
lost a lot of experience (including their captain), changed head
coach and just lost their new defence coach after a few weeks.

Yes, fair point. We'll soon see what that has done to them,
Parling is highly regarded, but he's not had much of a preseason
either.

I think nailed on for top 3 based off last season, and also
changes for this season:
Bath
Sarries
Bristol
I think the most likely team to step in at 4 would be Sale
who've kept a good team. Tigers I think will have a slight drop
off with some key personnel leaving
