Interesting read - thanks for sharing.
If this is true about Lennox Anyanwu's offer from Montpellier
then no wonder he took it!

Lots of “it is thought” but if the Anyanwu bit is right, someone
in France will be looking for a new job, maybe they could become
bite coach for the French women.
I don’t think any of the teams are going to be transparent about
wages not for Machiavellian reasons but just purely commercial
       ones.

So we are in the second group of clubs and they seem to be
suggesting we are not spending up the the Cap limit.
The squad does look better this year than last but I think we
are looking at mid to lower table this year.
I hope to be proved wrong.

I don’t think we can be far away from the cap, the article is
impossible to fact check, and the Bath backloading of contracts
which I have read about before, means at some point you have to
lose players to balance the books.
Other articles have Bristol not spending the cap, only each club
understands it’s own spending policy and what their owners are
willing to spend on a very expensive hobby, also the more
responsible owners would like to have a financially viable club
that could survive them departing, or at least look like it
       could be in the future.

Bristol not spending to the cap must have been before
       Rees-Zammit joined :-)

He might have been quite cheap, because most clubs had done
recruitment when he popped up again.

He also had a very small group of clubs to chose from given he's
stated that he wanted to be able to live near Cardiff

He is on record saying he took a cheap one year deal to prove
       his future value.

Hang on, so bath can spend 780k excluding Russell, and are
paying carreras and Spencer 500k between them, leaving 280k for
       the entire remaining squad?
