I agree with everything you say except wishing him the best, too
do a good job would require some form of competence.

Do you think it was the 3 year plan at Wales that tempted him

       BRILLIANT NEWS!
Just hope we've learnt from the proper selection process as we
got it wrong with Gustard, Matson and Wilson
And the answer isn't promote from within - we need fresh ideas

Doesn't sound like it... "Things with the WRU have moved
quickly..." and an interim position with existing coaches. Seems
like Wilson just handed his notice in a few weeks ago.
Not unhappy he's going but it's still a total mess.

Yeah, I'm not sure why we'd want to promote nev, he's either
been on board with the recent nonsense, or not been able to get
       his voice heard. Either way...

absolutely fuming about this. I was always firmly in the "Wilson
Out" brigade, but the timing of this is awful. Especially after
his summer secondment where he kept saying how committed he was
to the club. Good riddance, but i am worried about how this
       season will pan out.

Glad he's gone. Timing is awful - one last gift from him. Now
get the right person in. Someone attack minded

-Let's just hope he doesn't get any ideas about luring Bomb
       away...

Obviously delighted but, as others have said, the timing stinks.
IMHO, he snaked in on the basis of his relationship with Billy
       Millard and got Tabai out.
Since then, we've played below our potential and moved away from
what had brought us short and medium term success in the
       post-Gustard era.
We'll see if Bomb leaves as well (feels similarly inevitable,
       given Ferguson's appointment)
Given Gerard Mullen joining as well, I think Nick Evans will be
the head man for this season leaving us with -
       Nick Evans - HC
Gerard Mullen - Skills & Attack
Matt Ferguson - Scrum & Forwards
       Jason Gilmore - Defense
The obvious hole is around lineout, given Ferguson is mainly a
       scrum specialist.
Whether any of this is the answer medium to long term, I'm
       sceptical.
