Probably.
We have a lot of players who've had a very long season followed
by internationals followed by a short break - happy not seeing
them in these matches TBH.

Really, really poor second half. It reminds of too many games
last season where we started well and then just slumped. From
19-0 up to then concede 33 unanswered points is miserable.

Same here. I thought it doesn't look like anything has changed
from last season. Terrible second half after a bright opening
half.

A bit of individual promise in the first half but yet another
poor team display. Presumably it’s because Trevino have played
more/less games preseason and we are undercooked/too tired.
And/or we are a young team in transition/they are a young team
with nothing to lose? Any of the other standard excuses I’ve
missed? Wind? Not wet enough/too slippery etc etc
There will be learnings and I’m sure we will have a good
training week next week.
I’m ready for another “year in transition”.

First half looked ok at times. The second half was a complete
mess. Whatever plan there was wasn’t followed if at all. Losing
both tightheads was less than ideal and still lots of poor basic
skills.
Expected more for the home friendly but felt like a glorified
training session with endless subs.

I preferred the way that Benetton treated this.
Both teams had 30 ish players. Benetton had more or less 2
complete teams and swapped almost the entire team at half time.
Quins made subs in clumps and lost a lot a cohesion. We should
have just done the same as Benetton.
I remember watching Richmond v Ampthill a few years ago and they
did the same. I think it gives coaches more chance to see how
combos work.
I assume that they allowed rolling subs.

Also concerned that we haven’t seen certain squad players in
these games. JEv is injured apparently but where is Lewies?
Kerrod? Titi? Walker? Hobson? Streeter? Presumably they need
a run out in the cup now.
