       Other European Rugby
   DIR By: Bod
       Date: September 3, 2025, 4:44 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
We're in that period of the season where not a great deal is
happening other that the odd friendly preseason match to keep us
rugby junkies from going full cold turkey. With that in mind I
thought the widely travelled and very cosmopolitan fans and
supporters who worship at the Stoop would find an "Other
European Rugby" thread of passing interest at least, and keep
your Editor happy with a few more clicks'
  HTML https://www.rugbypass.com/news/new-german-bundesliga-season-set-to-kick-off-after-radical-restructure/
Across my years of business travel around Europe I'd always
considered 3/4 countries outside of the 6Ns closed shop that
would progress rapidly if there were a more equitable structure
to top level rugby and one that would then encourage investors.
Spain/Portugal are progressing as well as the system allows
I'm also thinking that with this new structure in Germany , our
Saxon and associated Germanic tribal cousins will begin to
       follow suit.
Poland also loves its Rugby, and certainly produces the stature
of athlete to play, and fans who'd appreciate the Rugby ethos.
Having played a good few games out there when working and based
in Warsaw during late 80s, there are still a few scars I bear to
remind me of some fun afternoons and evenings on a polish rugby
       pitch.
       Ongoing debate and additions appreciated
Looking forward to a typically fullblown encounter with you
       folks on 26th

One or two Englishmen plying their trade there.

Is there a way to watch D2 over here?
I think it is on canal+sport. I tried to subscribe some time
back but found it wasn't possible.
(I don't want to use dodgy streams)

Yes - you can watch it on Youtube through the
  HTML https://www.youtube.com/@FRUKrugby.

Tim Cocker from Eggchasers podcast bought the rights to Pro D2
and it's the only place to watch free-to-air rugby in England.

Depends how broad you want to be. U20s 6N on BBC? iPlayer
currently has the 2025 Irish Schools Cup Final and the Scottish
       Women's Premiership.
I'm sure I've seen European game sin Welsh on iPlayer and wasn't
there something about being more coverage (on YouTube) for The
Champ as well? Camquin will know better
