       Another triumph for Castore

They have failed to produce enough England Women's shirts to
       meet demand by fans.

I think they've also missed a trick by not having any of the red
roses shirts in men's fit. I definitely would have got one of
the shirts if they were available

It’s a shame as it’s fans missing out, but I take solace in the
lost revenue as it serves the RFU right for picking them to
begin with considering their awful record and product

Yes, because none of the other manufacturers ever ran out of
       stock.
I mean, Adidas didn't run out of the 150 year shirt after a few
       days. Did they?

They have expanded far too fast, and gone from good quality
product, to where they are now, the RFU had little choice when
       Castore purchased Umbro's european rights.

Odd position to be in when there is at least four years notice.
Not sure when they took over Umbro but even so they must have
known fairly well in advance what was happening this year.
Anyway, it’s not a good look for such a large company.

They never bought Umbro, the european rights were licensed to
another company that company then sub-licensed the rights to
       Castore in march 2024.
They then changed all football kit to use the Umbro brand and
rugby to use Castore, at present Castore runs at a loss.

Well last year they recorded a loss having made a profit of £14m
the year before, but they also increased their turnover by 65%
and increased their gross profit by more than £40m, so I’m not
sure they are “running at a loss” like they’re some kind of
       start up.

They sold a large percentage of the company in 2023 to a us
investment fund, i suspect that they want to run at a profit and
investing in bricks and mortar stores is risky.
Also having to buy the the Umbro license to replace the Castore
brand in the football market was not a planned move, no company
have ever gone up against Nike and Adidas and come out well,
       apart from Puma sort of.

How dare you?!?! Still got my Spall Wimbledon kit. It’s
       sporting perfection.
