Depends I would say on the two champ teams, and if their grounds
qualify, Worcester would be fine Ealing not.
11 teams leaves 1 team not playing, so 12 teams is better,
trouble is Ealing have threatened legal action in the past, but
it makes sense finically to 12 teams for everyone.

I think the main difference is that teams won't be able to rely
on beating Newcastle as a confidence-booster when they're on a
bad run. They may still prop up the table at the end of the
season, but other teams will have to take them seriously, and
crappy teams like Quins will need to get more serious.

I'd be surprised if any player with the option of Japan would
choose Newcastle!
I'd also be surprised if Beard or CCS were to consider a move,
especially Beard.

Theres the assumption that Red Bull will do a Wray with all
their money, but, However, despite its impressive revenue
growth, Red Bull Racing's after-tax profit for 2023 fell by 37%,
dropping from £2.057 million ($2,7 million) in 2022 to £1.296
million. Thats despite....Red Bull Racing's 2023 revenue reached
£307,472 million ($402 million), up from £278,026 million in
2022, marking a 10.6% rise, a boost attributed to increased
sponsorship, promotions, prize money, and contributions toward
the race program.
Now my head hurts...any bloody* accountants know what is going
on there?

I get the CCS comment. Hadn't considered Beard but now that
you've said it.....
Is CCS really going to dislodge Dommers at 8? No, not for a good
couple of seasons and with his England chances waning, he'll
want a move to start at 8 more often. He's a young man and still
needs to learn the game and bank minutes which may not happen at
Quins unless we get an injury at 6 or 8. Converting him to a 2nd
row is as mad as Marcus to a 15 so I don't think he'll want
that.
If Northmore stays injury free and shows the form we know he has
(and get's left at 13) then Beard could look to move to enhance
his England chances and if he is more likely to be 23 at Quins.
Have to wait and see.

With the added money coming in over the next few seasons, I hope
it will be a bit of a reminder we cannot rest on our laurels. We
probably are more at risk than other clubs in recent showings of
losing some of our better names if the overall
direction/performance of the club continues from where we left
off last season.

Not an accountant, but that's just saying that Red Bull Racing
(one of the F1 teams owned by Red Bull themselves) make a small
profit on a large amount of turnover. I'm surprised they make a
profit at all, really.
Red Bull Racing aren't the owners of Newcastle, they're the
equivalent of Newcastle, i.e. a team owned by the Red Bull
conglomerate. We can't draw any conclusions except to say that
Newcastle will not be short of cash.

Still not bad for something that cost $1 with no debts in 2004.

This may not be a popular opinion, but I'd pick Beard over North
more in most selections. Luke has been good, but lacking game
time through injury, and Oscar's huge improvement, I don't think
he's an automatic first choice these days.

No argument from me, I think Beard should be the first choice on
form from the last year.
I only raised the point of CCS and Beard being the ones most
likely to be targetted by a team like Newcastle as it appears as
though their contracts end this season. I don't think either
will go but they are the sort of player that Newcastle could
target if they start using the full cap.
