Talking about signings, I see Newcastle have signed Amanaki Mafi
as well. They are recruiting really well and are going to be a
much tougher prospect this coming season.

Not sure about that one. He's 35 and if I remember correctly
he's also an absolute headcase with serious disciplinary issues
on and off the pitch. A real grub of a bloke by all accounts

Bath cancelled his contract because of an alleged assault on a
medical official and he was made to pay 50000 New Zealand
dollars by a court after another alleged assault of a team mate,
was not allowed to enter Australia while playing for the
sunwolves.
And the list goes on.

Somehow I missed all that. He's a fantastic player, but, yeah.
That looks like potential trouble.

Falcons have signed that Argentinian 9 now too. He looked handy
to me. We got Townsend.

If RB are injecting plenty of money into a team that was
spending well below the cap, and has lost several of its best
players, then it shouldn't be any surprise if they make some
good signings.

Townsend is an ok signing for us, Porter deserves to be first
choice and Friday I hope will be something special in time.
Signing a player who has not played in England and would get
limited game time as a replacement, is not the best use of
resources, we have enough scrum half’s to be going along.
Our big issues are inside centre and LH, we need one of each as
a minimum.
