If the phone doesn't ring, it's probably Quins on the other end

We’ve seen what happens when inexperienced DoRs try and do that.
My point is that one with a good track record and experience
should be able to do what you say. And we really do need to
move away from thinking we are so special. For the fan base and
players we have (plus the academy set up), we under perform more
often than not. To keep doing the same thing and saying that
it’s because of our culture just means the same outcome. Other
clubs are capable of adapting whilst having a sense of identity.

Do Quins really have a very distinct playing culture? If so,
maybe that's the problem.

Mark McCall has just signed a new long term contract, so Steve
Diamond it is [emoji38]

That sounds contradictory. Questioning whether we're special (of
course we are! :) ) Then mentioning the "players we have (plus
the academy set up)" suggests we're... special?
FWIW I get the argument that we've always played a certain way,
and we should try to maintain that. But I think that's more of a
mindset, an attitude. Most clubs have been attributed a specific
style, and they seem to roll with it. They do evolve, but
labels/identities tend to stick.
