Your thoughts on Director of Rugby (DOR) for 2025/2026

I haven't seen an official announcement of our new Director of
Rugby yet for the new season. While we wait to hear more, what
       are your thoughts?
Will we see someone new come in and step up or will Danny Wilson
be given the DOR role combined with Head Coach role?

Make DW DoR if it means the 3 year plan is scrapped - then we
can recruit a new Head Coach

I’d go for something radical. How about we get an experienced
DoR with a record of success at some level?

The last time we had an experienced DoR with a record of success
at some level, he was the most successful club level coach in
English rugby history. He got us promoted from the Championship,
and built a good squad, but as I recall his tenure didn't end
       brilliantly.
The club's most successful periods have been when we had a guy
whose previous DoR track record was winning the Powergen Cup,
and when we had no DoR at all.

Given the squad he had he'd have been sacked if he hadn't got us
       promoted.

So based on that, your options are no DoR, Steve Diamond (PRC
       specialist) or Mark McCall 😈

Very funny - but I think my point is more that Quins are a club
with a very distinct playing culture, and any DoR needs to be
       able to fit into that.
We've seen what happens when a DoR tries to turn them into a
clone of another club, and it wasn't pretty.
