Interesting how much depth we have had in some positions (front
row, back row, outside backs) where some really good players
don't get in (e.g. Sinckler, Dombrandt, Greenwood) but not so
much at lock or scrum half.

The man doesn't get a mention, but I loved the way James
Johnston simply destroyed any prop he came up against.
Did anyone include Keith Wood?

Baldwin (Tani unlucky to miss out)

Duncombe (slightly sentimental choice, perhaps, but he had a
huge future ahead of him)

On the flip side, if i was to make a XV of some of the worst
players or poor signings/never worked out etc.
1. Doran-Jones
2. Hayter
3. Dawson
4. Cronje
5. Kennedy
6. Bothma
7. Sheriff
8. White
9 So'oialo
10. Botica
11. Goneva
12. Roberts
13. Abott
14. Sackey
15. Staunton
Some are probably harsh,but, its me afterall.

I would include Winston Stanley in that list over Roberts and
swap Botica for Catrakilis . I think that Catrakilis was a good
signing, but due to his bad injury, it just didn't work out.

Good points. Arwel Thomas in for a shout too, he always looked
like a deer in the headlights. I remember he once got an
intercept try once in a game and for a second he was petrified.

What would be the "what might have been?" XXIII - players who
started with huge promise but for whatever reason we didn't see
the best of them? The ones I have are:

4. Horwill
5. Lewies
6. Chisholm (I know he's still playing, but imagine what he
could have been if he'd had Robshaw-like durability)

9. Duncombe
10. Catrakilis
11. Ibitoye
12. Abbott

14. Walker (though - not that any of us ever saw him play - you
could definitely make a case for Ronald Poulton-Palmer)
