Will both these games DEFINITELY be on a Sunday do we think???

I believe so, yes. The Press release when they announced them
started with the sentence: "Full schedule of pool stage
fixtures, dates, and kick-off times confirmed for the Investec
Champions Cup 2025/26.". Add in that they've announced who the
broadcasters are, and I think we can be pretty certain that
these dates are final, barring unforeseen circumstances.
Of course, that means we've only a 6 day turnaround between the
Round 2 game & BG17, which isn't ideal...

so no christmas big game this year? downloaded the calendar sale
away on boxing day saints away on the 3rd jan, nothing in
between, Bristol at twickers on the 20th Dec so pre xmas big
game. be interesting to see if that works as well.

Full closure of the railway serving Twickenham between Christmas
and New Year means that Big Stoop can't be used during this
period. I doubt it'll work as well as the mid holiday game but
still probably draw a very decent crowd.

Is is it closed for maintenance or has the RMT pulled a blinder
in mandatory holiday negotiations?

It is closed for maintenance. And TBH it’s major work not just
maintenance.
