Seeing Marcus get up and then fall again was a bit worrying, was
no real need to bring him on as F Smith didn't look injured so a
real heart in mouth moment but he looked OK laughing and joking
with the players afterwards.

Expect it'll be a nice excuse to replace Marcus with Owen
Farrell on the bench for the weekend. OF by all accounts was one
of the better performers today.

He did OK but as mentioned above, he stepped in at first
receiver a lot and put a good chip through for the first try.
Unlike one of the previous games where you had Russell & Marcus
both operating an attacking pod each, this was more him stepping
in at 10 and a couple of times Fin was running lines and not
seeing the ball

Fin got quite a lot of ball, though, and I thought that was one
of his better games.

According to RugbyPass Marcus passed the HIA but presumably
there was no value in putting him back on and risking him again.

Not sure what he'd have to do to get a bad write-up in all
honesty. He identified a 3 on one and the lions scored, that was
apparently enough.

Faz stepped in at first receiver a lot, particularly in their
22. It was at least a relief that he generally didn't kick it
away.
Fin missed several conversions you'd back him for and touch. He
was very busy in defence but quiet in attack, not himself right
now.
Between the two of them, it's a worry that they couldn't unlock
the defence for what was essentially a pub side.

Not a massively good game by the Lions. Most players were
distinctly ordinary. Farrell was good (sacrilege here, I know)
and so was Osborne, but I don't see them being an option to
replace the existing centres. Darcy Graham was playing really
well and probably had a chance to take over one of the wings,
but not now. Fin Smith was pretty weak with his kicking. Bad at
kicking for for touch and poor kicking for post.
Cummings was good and could get in. Ben White was good but not
good enough to replace Gibson-Park. Pollock was decent but again
not good enough to get into the 23, and Ben Earl looked better
when he came on. Kinghorn did some really good stuff, but then
he also threw two interceptions. Jamie George was okay, but the
lineout wasn't perfect (maybe not all his fault). He could get
on the bench. Other than those, I don't see much possibility of
change to the test team.

That's good. He went off with less than 10 minutes to go, so he
wouldn't have come back on anyway, even if Smith had been
ballsing things up.
