You mean when we camped in their 22 and kicked interminably?
We were much the better team, everyone seems to have forgotten
that Argentina rested over half the side.
Being a centre for England has been utterly thanks less since
scw, unless you're name is Tuilagi.

We always play away in Argentina during lions tours and
invariably win. Every time people claim we will struggle and
every time Argentina are poor.

I’m not sure how often you’re have happened when Argentina have
been higher ranked than England.

Let's be honest, this was neither Argentina nor England. Santi
at 10 for heaven's sake. Quins or Sale would be licking their
lips.

Have to agree with this. The talk of us being underdogs before
the first test was ludicrous. Yes England were missing lots to
the lions but Englands depth is exceptional. Englands 4th team
would give the 1st team a very good run. Argentina don’t have
the same depth.

Errr... Santi has been their first choice 10 for several seasons
now. Him playing 15 is the anomaly.
I thought it was an excellent performance from England given the
circumstances, right up until JVP came on then it all went a bit
rubbish. Ford kicked to destruction, JVP was visibly thinking at
every point he should've already made a decision, the subs made
things a bit chaotic, and we probably passed up a few too many
chances.
I was very happy with Murley's impact - he really chased
brilliantly and looked very dangerous with the ball - and Luke
did great for his first cap despite not making one of his
trademark line busts. He ran some excellent lines and did very
well for the first try.
I don't think it's unreasonable to say the Argentina side on
paper was the better team. England really tore into them,
scrambled excellently in defence, and had the edge in the scrum.
If it wasn't for Theo Dan choking hard it might have been quite
a bit more convincing.

Assuming you mean Dan's darts, I wonder how much he has trained
with those jumpers/lifters. There will have been some but the
bulk of the time is likely to have been with the subs.

It wasn't just Dan, it was Langdon as well, though he found his
range after a bit. It's clearly hugely disruptive to have a
change at that late notice - and I think it's a good learning
point for England that they coped with it.

Dan also dropped the ball practically every time he got it.
He would have been the sub hooker for the match, I'm not having
it as an excuse that the last minute promotion to starting made
that much difference. Langdon, sure.
