Bringing the game into disrepute. No surprise from SA, Aor from
Quinky defending the indefensible.

How is it "indefensible"? How is it "bringing the game into
disrepute"? It's not like they kidnapped the ref and forced the
opposition to wear leg weights.
SA try a new tactic that nobody else thought about. Much the
same as when Italy didn't form a maul at lineout time, and
England fans were perplexed and angered in equal measure. The
kick off was caught by a player ahead of the kicker, a penalty
was given. That's what's in the laws. The ball didn't travel 10m
- that happens. But because it's SA, there's uproar and
caterwauling for sanctions.
People need to get over themselves. Maybe if they supported more
successful teams they might be less bitter.

I have no problem with SA trying that out. But they’d help
themselves if Rassie didn’t make such a fuss when a ref doesn’t
give them a decision. That whole video show and tell thing was
embarrassing and other fans haven’t forgotten.

A deliberate knock on is a penalty. Now because SA have no
morals we'll need to bring in all sorts of other sanctions for
deliberate offences. Next it will be deliberate quarterback
passes.

For me the second trick play of lifting as if it's a lineout
could be classed as obstruction. By lifting, they make it
impossible for defenders to attempt to tackle the pass receiver,
allowing them to get into a position to set up a rolling maul
without the chance for the defence to counter that.

No need to be precious about it, this is covered by law 9.7.
Unfair play
9.7 A player must not:
a. Intentionally infringe any law of the game. Sanction:
Penalty.

I think it’s everyone doing the moaning that needs to let this
one go. Wow. What a miserable bunch.

Most fans have forgotten. It really wasn’t a big deal.

Forward passes are illegal. Quarterback style passes are legal,
if they're not forward. I'm not sure how a quarterback pass can
be anything other than deliberate?
