Lions kick a penalty, presumably because they do not have
penetration.
Which is not a good sign against a provincial defence.

I’d give little Owen credit for the try Marcus scored really.
Would never have happened without his experience and drive.

Marcus has had a better game at FB and has created some good
stuff running good lines and the like.
Hopefully Kinghorn can recover as I'd still prefer a more out
and out fullback for the 1st test, as if Marcus is chucked in he
will always be the one to blame if we don't win

Took his chance. Could have had another try had Chessum
offloaded (may be harsh) but he certainly put his hand up for
the bench spot

Not a bad game. Still issues around the breakdown. Marcus was
decent at 15. Still not his natural position, but he didn't let
anyone down. When he's playing up against the line, he's way
more effective than covering the back field.
15 is a worry with Daly injured, Kinghorn who knows, and Keenan
absolutely shite in his last game. If I were Farrell Sr., unless
Kinghorn is fine, I'd be calling up another 15. Or, I suppose,
Hugh Jones could play there. He was decent at 15 for us when he
was here.

Blair Murray would be my pick to be called up but depends how
serious the injury is. I imagine if its touch and go for the 1st
test he probably might resist the urge

Still too many forced set attacking plays that go wrong, defence
is not great from the set piece, looked good when they just
played heads up rugby.
Breakdown is weak, which is strange considering the players, and
JGP interview on sky where he has just said they don’t get much
time on the training field and do must of their work in
meetings, does not fill me with confidence.
Fullback has now become a concern but hopefully not a serious
injury to Kinghorn, and fact that the Brumbies had 8 players
missing needs to be remembered.

Jamie Osborne would be ahead of Murray, I suspect.
