I'd say Marcus is the best 10 in the country, but I guess it
depends on what the team is, the tactics, and what you want from
a 10. Build a team around Marcus and you'll get the best. Put
him in a team that plays differently (e.g. Farrell at 12 must
effectively be first receiver), he's ineffective. Play kick
chase, he impacts the game less.
Another issue with Marcus is that they seem to keep shuffling
him around, and playing him out of position. The fact that they
want to shoehorn him in, even out of position, suggests they
want him on the pitch at the expense of others.
Bottom line for me is that if you want a creative 10 who makes
things happen and really bothers the opposition, pick Marcus. If
you want a very safe, but very good 10, pick Ford. If you want a
comparatively ordinary 10, for the media to fawn over, pick Fin.

I think sometimes the over the toip criticism that Smithy gets
leads his supporters (of which i count myself one) to become
over defensive. That said the missed touch finder the other day
are exactly the things that the detractors fairly have a go at
him for. He rarely gets much distance on said touch finders and
it's a key part of the game.

Henry Slade ruled out of the rest of the tour with a hand
injury:

He seems to have played through most of the game with it, which
partially excuses some of his ropier handling and passing. The
remaining outside centres are Luke, Oscar and Max Ojomoh, so
there's a good chance of an additional Quin in the squad.

You’d never want anyone to be injured regardless of if you want
them playing or not, but I think this will be a blessing.
Personally I would like to see Ojomah over Beard but Luke can
count himself very lucky in all honesty to even be in the mix

Slade had one of his better games, and was good in defence,
Ojomoh can play both 12 and 13, but is better at 12, would
prefer to see Beard or Northmore play at 13.
Not Northmore's fault that we have constantly player him out of
position, he is a very good 13 and a average 12.

From memory, Northmore's uni highlight reel when we recruited
him was mostly playing 12 - but we seem to have done too good a
job of convering him to 13.
Conversely, in last year's U20s I think Kerr played 12 and
Waghorn 13, but I think the nature of the adult pro 12 role
demands a bit more physicality than Kerr or Northmore offer.
