I think all fans have perceptions about players, mainly based on
an Instagram clip or 3 minutes of a game where someone doesn't
quite do what they think is right. Marcus is the poster boy for
that as people always want to believe he can't do this or that
and if they watched 80 minutes of him week in, week out would
       have a different opinion.
We do the same about Ford, Farrell, F Smith so we are not
squeaky clean on this. They all miss tackles, they all miss
kicks, they all over play at points. If we ignore that and focus
on what they can do well then you get a different perspective.
Marcus was unfairly, in my opinion, blamed by the press for
England failing in the autumn and ex-players and so called
experts all screamed for F Smith and then creamed themselves
every time he passed the ball 5 metres.
What never got discussed was looking at the trays England scored
in NZ and the AIs and debate whether or not they get scored with
one of the others on the pitch because the answer might not meet
       up with your individual view.
Marcus will always be the best option for an attacking team who
want to move the ball. The ABs would love him at 10, but
England, the Lions and many other sides prefer a more pragmatic
10 so he looks more of a maverick because he does things that
they couldn't even conceive, let alone deliver.

A possible omen for selection is an updated article in the Times
which consists of Sexton and Itoje drooling about Owen.

Sexton talking about him at 12 is interesting. Everyone seemed
to forget that Farrell was a bit part 10 for England with a
history of poor performances; whatever his failings at 12
there's no question it's where he played more consistently and
       produced his best rugby.
So maybe it's Aki and Tuipolotu who should be annoyed

Confused. Is this a joke post?
