I don't think that I have ever agreed with Campese before.

It's shocking nepotism really.
OF played shivering like 20 odd times for Racing, Lancaster's
boy was being picked over him!
He's not played an international game in 2 years, the arguments
for it seem to hinge on his historical record which seems to me
to be totally irrelevant!

If it was the traditional months away from home tour, this might
make sense. But there's just 2 games before the first test. Then
one game and the final two tests. Ok, he may be fit. But is he
match fit? Can he get there in two games without hurting anyone
else's chances of playing?

I liked this comment on the Mail's Chris Foy article

It's not too late to get Mike on the plane!

Thoroughly enjoying the fact that Farrell's "performances" on
the last tour have seemingly been memory holed in favour of
calling him a legend and banging on about the stuff he does to
drive standards, like a lions touring party lacks that or that
his teams have never dropped theirs in his presence
Ben Kay came out with the most confused one yet:
Where he particularly shines is he’s just so good at
being singularly focused in.
Amazing stuff

This is a disgrace. No Owen Farrell starting for either the
Lions or England. How is rugby supposed to continue without his
driving of standards?
