on a different note, has anyone heard of any signing rumours? We
are still desperately short at centre being 2 down with Lennox
and Joseph going

Justo Piccardo would have been good but hes signed for
montpellier. at least they have the foresight to have 2 proper
12's on their books...

Whatever the reason, Lenny is gone and I wish him well. He's a
young bloke in a profession that's not going to earn him enough
to retire on, especially when there's always the risk of a
premature end to a career. He's unlikely to feature for England,
so if the French want to throw a decent salary his way, that
Quins wouldn't/couldn't match, and he gets to enjoy a much
better lifestyle (at the moment, most places offer a better
lifestyle than England), who could realistically begrudge him.

Really had a good feeling about him going into this season and
he started well enough. Played particularly well in the home
victory of Sarries. But since then I can't remember him having a
good game whereas Ben Waghorn stood out positively in most games
he played.
He clearly fell below Waghorn in the pecking order, England
hopes dashed for the foreseeable and offered plenty of cash in
France. Whether or not there's an attitude problem, I can see
why he made the move and we're hardly an attractive prospect
right now.

I had high hopes fore Anyanwu, too, but it has to be said that
Waghorn looked instantly at home in the squad, and what stood
out particularly was his decision-making and error count.
Young players stepping into the first team often try too hard to
force things and try things that they have got away with at more
junior levels without much return. Anyanwu was occasionally
guilty of that, whereas Waghorn is a bit reminiscent of Murley
in the maturity of his play. Given he’s likely to add some bulk
and power over the next couple of years, that bodes well.
And as others have said, it’s a short career and if someone
wants to pay Lennox top dollar at a time when his advancement
for Quins and England has stalled a bit, then it’s hard to
begrudge him that.

Lennox wants over 200k, Quins say not worth it, sulks a bit and
takes good offer from France. Possible scenario. I think Lenny
showed promise at times but also naivety. The coaches didn’t
think he was value so they make the decision to let him go. I
haven’t got my informant any more so can’t find out what’s gone
on.
