He was really frustrating could be great in flashes, but often
poor for entire games, just not good enough in the end to be be
in the squad.

All jokes aside, the Lennox situation is probably the one I want
to hear most from a whistleblower.
Pre season he was talked about as a potential England player if
he knuckled down. He was given that big shoes to fill role with
no Andre. He started and got a chance. But then, poof, gone. Out
the side and like he never existed.
It’s either
1) he just had no real desire to be the best player he could be,
to take his chance, and chased money very early on
2) Wilson decided actually he wasn’t very good, told him no
contract and was looking at other options. Which then questions
his and the set ups judgement to begin with, which is equally
likely looking at their recent recruitment

Dare I say option 3 is that Lennox had a huge desire to be the
best player he could be but didn’t think that would happen under
the current coaching setup?

Possibly, but it dosent say much about his character. We’ve all
had managers we haven’t enjoyed working under but speaking for
myself have always looked to do my best and prove a point.
Throwing in the towel at the first chance is hardly amazingly.
But then if that is true then it only compounds the point Wilson
and the coaching setup are a busted flush considering the
approach so far. Either way you look at it it’s not good

He's supposedly on £300k a year there. Not sure if that's true,
but he'll certainly be on a decent wedge. He's young. It's a
nice place to live. He can still come back and play for England
if it works out. Hard to blame him really
Plus Wilson has us playing turgid rugby and the squad is getting
weaker, so no compelling reason for him to stay
