England are going to struggle this summer.
The Pumas will have their French based players available.
The Lions need to add Argentina to the rotation.
Perhaps as early as 2033.

Good game. Isgro had a strong performance. Not sure Marcus
helped his cause much but not the worst Lion tonight. A load of
lumps across the back line doesn't beat top end pace for me and
I thought Hansen looked lively when he eventually appeared.
Good ref too.

Marcus looked like he struggled in the first half to get into
the game and not the best defensively although somewhat
exacerbated by VDM's defensive faults, some unfair criticism I
think aimed at him from other fans about taking the ball across
the line but not really any better options.
Second half looked much better as he involved himself much more
in attack and defence, several occasions where he was the first
into the ruck to protect the ball.
I think he either needs to be starting at 10 to move to 15 with
replacements or on the bench to cover FH and FB for injury.
If he hadn't been picked for the Lions I think it would have
been a great opportunity to see him in a less rigid England
structure this summer rather than Ford.

Not sure that the concept of offloading on every carry is a
great idea, loads of possession wasted with very low percentage
offloads.
Marcus was left high and dry by the poor defensive plan, which
was woeful on the edges, and also vulnerable to the high ball.
Still just the first game but raises some intriguing questions
about some players and the style the coaches had the team play.

Don't think anyone in red can argue with the result. Los Pumas
counterpunched really well and defended heroically. They're
probably a better side than the Aussies.
Lions looked like what they are; a scratch side of very good
players who are mostly unfamiliar with the system they're
playing. Only the scrum really held up as a unit. The lineout
was a disaster. The multi phase attack and defence will take a
bit more time.
That said, they controlled territory and were profilgate in the
22. Something like 15 entries for their 24 points which is crazy
inefficient.

The Lions are trying to play the same style as Ireland - trying
to keep the ball alive with plenty of offloading - which I
suppose isn't surprising but it didn't work very well.
On the Irish commentary stream I was listening to, they referred
to the Lions as 'Ireland' a couple of times [emoji3]

I thought the multiphase attack was working surprisingly well
for a first hit out and every time Marcus got the ball they
looked threatening, only for the finishers to balls it up.
There's definitely huge potential in having two playmakers, but
the Lions will need to get their defensive system working and
hang onto the ball better.
Genge had an immense game, not sure anyone else really moved the
dial individually
