Always looking to appeal to new audiences, Prem Rugby have
noticed the viewing figures (and Netflix deal) for WWE. In place
of the Prem Rugy Cup, for the 2025/6 season there will therefore
be a Royal Rumble-style event and each club has been asked to
put forward their two players. As in medieval times, these
players will be known as their club's Champions.

Living rent free in everyone’s heads.
I gladly accept being club champion.

It'll just be "Clubman" of the year, I suppose. Random name for
a normal award, but I suspect it might be how we get "star of
the match" etc in some comps now

Star of the Match (and Discovery of the Year) were both for
sponsorship reasons (Heineken and Land Rover, respectively).

I know - you see it occasionally not linked to Heineken, but
point is the same - I assume they're not using clubman/woman
because it's gendered language.
