Yep. And it's why I'm disapppointed that we don't seem to have
recruited people with much grunt. Our backs are amazing, but
without the heft to regularly win collisions, they're not able
to show what they can do as regularly as they should.

And you miss my point. If people continue to buy the tickets
then clearly they do not see it as "top business class prices
for economy class product". They see it as an experience worth
their hard earned cash, win or lose.
Every year a bunch of you complain about ticket prices, every
year the Stoop continues to sell out. Companies do take people
who "voice displeasure" seriously, because it can be a lead
indicator of future decline in sales, but they also know that
there are some people who will always complain and whose views
are an outlier rather an indicator.

Interestingly, just seen on FOTS Twitter page that we had 3 of
the 10 highest match attendances in Europe last season. Only
lost out to Leinster v Munster for top spot. I know that skew's
things as we played those games in bigger stadiums and boosts
our average to 23.8k but even if it was Stoop only, we'd still
be in the Top 20 Europe wide.

It's undoubtedly a good thing that we can sell tickets well. But
it's also true that poor performances do eventually turn off
fans. We're not there yet, and hopefully we won't, but a run of
miserable performances might start to eat into attendance. I
think it would be a mistake to assume that couldn't happen to
us.

You'd think so but I'm not totally sure that's been the case.
We've been worse than this season a few times (Thinking JK's
second season when the humping by soon to be relegated London
Irish) and attendances haven't really suffered. Not to say it
can't happen of course.

I'm not sure there is a clear link between performance and fan
numbers.
Otherwise, our neighbours, after winning loads of silverware,
would surely have the biggest attendance.
And as much as people bash the team and coaches, I wouldn't
class us as terrible. Basically, we have been in the mid-table
average group for many years.
Or - to keep with the earlier airline analogy - we are neither
first class nor economy class. We generally hover round the
business class/premium economy category.

Not sure about the airline analogy; the difference between
business and premium economy is massive, as are the costs!

I don’t really think numbers will decrease massively, as people
will still attend and support the club as it’s not as straight
forward as just not eating in a restaurant you don’t like
because the food isn’t worth the price tag. I do think another
few seasons of finishing 7th but paying top dollar for the
privilege will create more uncomfortable conversations for
people though. I personally don’t think the club care too much
as the STs will always sell out, but it’s clear from this season
from gentle comments and those neutral supporters there is
growing concern the way the club is going (which will only get
louder)

Do you mean the club? or the team?
Personally, I think the club is doing great.
The men's team didn't have a great season.
The women's team had a good season.
The real question that I have though - is why do I engage with
Colin Robinson?

Only 7 Premier League soccer teams have won a trophy more
recently than Quins, and yet I still see crowds turning up to
watch Arsenal, Chelsea, Aston Villa or even Southampton (who
haven't won anything for nearly 50 years).
Success may help to bring in new supporters, but fans stay for
more than trophies.
