Signings can be announced later. Isgro was only announced on 3rd
Sep 2024.
I think there are other examples of new signings being announced
just before the season starts.
The cynical me thinks that they may hold a few announcements
back just in case season ticket sales need a boost.

I would disagree with the home loss against Bristol being
unacceptable. I thought Briz were exceptional on the day. The
best display at the Stoop by any side all season.
Gloucester away has to be the lowlight for me. As poor as we
were, plenty of teams have been hammered by Leinster.
The narrow losses to Sale, Saints and Bath and the draw with
Tigers are the games which killed us. Saints away and Tigers in
particular. Both should've been wins given our position in the
games.
Roll on next season.....

Good point - I should have titled the thread "Quins men 2024/25
season summary". Whilst I watch the women's team and enjoy the
games, I'm not sure I'm quite knowledgeable enough to make a
proper assessment of their season. It certainly seems like quite
an improvement over 2023/24 though.

As a Cambridge debenture holder these days, I am still annoyed
that Benson was permitted to start for Scottish against
Cambridge.
Especially as he kicked the winning goal for us last season, and
orchestrated a win for them this season.
And he started for Quins the next week.
After the whistle, he was, of course, perfectly charming.
I just hope he presses on and, like Marcus, earns a white and
then a red shirt.

It was a very good season for the women - they had a run of 10
wins and made the playoffs. Had they not lost Nicole Wythe and
Alex Callender to injury in the space of a couple of weeks, I
think there's a good chance they'd have made the final.
Ross has done a great job of refreshing the squad (with some
brilliant recruitment) and turning the team around. The main
area of weakness is that they are a bit too reliant on a couple
of power forwards to get the game plan working. Next season they
should have Wythe back, plus the recruitment of Aoife Wafer
means the workload can be spread around a bit.

I have to say the most annoying/disappointing result for me was
the home defeat in the Prem cup against Sarries. We had almost
given up elsewhere and fielded a fairly strong side (Dombrandt
tried to win the game on his own ) and Sarries put out their
second string as they didn't have anything to play for as they
couldn't progress. We were guaranteed to progress . A win
however would have given us a home Quarter final against the
lowest ranked team whereas the loss put as right down the bottom
on ranking resulting in an away game against Bath. Both
financially and confidence wise a win then would have made a big
difference to the season and may have resulted in a home Semi
final too.

Agreed. But it wasn't sarries second team. It was 3rd or 4th and
academy

Conversely, Sarries fans are probably even more hacked off that
a Quins team with a lot of second string players and the 6N
players rested beat the strongest side they could put out at the
StoneX.
Looking at the stats from the PRC game, Quins were well ahead on
almost all the attacking stats except the score. We've had an
issue this season (not unlike England) with playing pretty well
between the 22s but not getting over the try line when it
counts.
