Too many teams deliberately throwing matches at the end of this
season. Bath, Saints, perhaps not quite us, but we're certainly
not going all-in for the win. It's not great for the league.
Maybe there needs to be some incentive for finishing higher up
the table. (Not letting 8 teams in the Champions cup would be a
       good start, because it's farcical.)

It's good to give key players a rest, especially if they have a
lot to lose if they get injured. Marcus (Lions) and maybe Tyrone
(England?) could miss out on a great opportunity. Plus it's good
for younger guys to get their chance.
Let's just hope it's an entertaining game.

This sort of thing nearly always happens at this time of year
although if you allow the top eight out of ten into the top
European competition it’s probably worse now. TheURC has it for
the whole season so we’re not that badly off. It never seems to
happen to us where the oppo put out an academy side when we need
a five pointer to qualify for something. You can all correct me
       now.

Or they do and we aren’t good enough to capitalise on it?

Bath are going to finish 1st regardless. They're 15 points
       clear.

They could award 25 points for winning your last match.

Funny to see Danny as unavailable due to a knee injury when he
was on the bench last week. So he’s not retired yet!

Danny has had a knee op so couldn’t have played this weekend
anyway. He wanted to retire at the Stoop so played even though
he probably shouldn’t have done but who could blame him.

True, but with Gloucester and Saracens tied at 51 points and
with either one of them being possibly in the top four, handing
the match to them makes a mockery of the season (Saints are not
putting a full-strength team out against Gloucester, but it's
not anywhere near as much of a capitulation as Bath). It's just
a damp squib of a way to end the season.

Not fussed about Bath. They earned the right over a season with
consistency (remember what that is?) so it’s well deserved to
put your feet up. There’s no obligation to play your best; and
if there was I’d want extra funding for that. Three cheers for
       Bath.
