The second half has just been fairly low quality all round.
Loads of errors.

So the 3 Lions 10s haven't won a top tier tournament at domestic
or international level. Owen Farrell must be seething 😀

Faz is probably more worried that he's not even had a champions
cup semi since the 2018/19 season.

Losing two of your backs in the first 5 minutes and a forward to
a head injury not too long later can't have helped Saints.

Not sure that matters much. If you don't include the
premiership, there aren't many opportunities to win a
tournament.

Yes, he was really poor. Let's see if any of the media or
pundits pick up on it.

Was a good game. Saints really clung on but then didn't have any
punch when they got out of the corner each time and UBB just
smothered them eventually. Having to reorganise after 5 mins
with Freeman playing 75 mins at fullback and losing Ramm and
Furbank probably took some of their stuffing out and forced
Smith and Mitchell to cover the backfield a lot, wearing them
down. Not having Augustus and Odendaal was big for them too. A
lot of their punch comes through the middle and with freeman
playing 15 they just didn't have enough there.
Kinda think UBB are a good blueprint for how we'd like to play,
ideally, with the players we have and their strengths. Their
strengths are very similar to ours, but not constrained by the
cap. They thrive off a lack of structure, have a game manager at
9 in Lucu (who was sublime yesterday - and we don't have a
player like that anymore with DC gone) and a flair player at 10
in Jalibert who can unlock their exciting backs. Proof that you
can get to the mountain top playing that way.
McNamara (their attack coach) would be the ideal guy to come in
and coach Quins, I think he'd get the best out of the players we
have.

Slightly pathetic from saints and Pollock moaning about Bordeaux
having a go at him after the final whistle. If you do interviews
saying how much you love to wind opponents up, then don't cry
when they dish it back out.
