Joseph will flourish at Gloucester. With Harris going he'll make
the 13 shirt his own there. Quality player, just stuck behind
Beard and Northmore. A move that makes sense for all parties.
Per my comments in the other thread, we've made a real mess of
it at lock losing Dino and Herbst and keeping Launchbury and
Lewies.
The lack of announced incomings is concerning. Let's hope the
club have a couple of quality late additions up their sleeve.
We're looking incredibly light at loosehead. A quality addition
there is surely a real must.

I only see 6 players who I'd prefer to stay. All the others are
probably the names you'd expect to be culled and are a mix of
those who never seemed to live up to early promise or reputation
and those who are surplus to requirements in terms of numbers of
similar players in their positions.

There is a change to the rules about how many dual reg players
they can use. So, I think they will need to bolster their squad
a bit to stave off the mighty Richmond.

Ah, so being a bit sneaky then........someone like Zheng, or
Head could join LS officially but should Quins suffer an injury,
bring them in on loan (like we did with Law at SH recently).

There's a dearth of rumours. We've got three confirmed joiners -
Treadwell and Petti at lock and Williams at TH prop - all of
which you could argue are at least like-for-like replacements
for Lamb, Herbst and Lewis, maybe even an upgrade at lock. The
Townsend rumour looks like a just-passable replacement for a
2025-era DC, if not exactly exciting. Beyond that, not much.
Duncan Paia'aua now looks likely to join Perpignan. So either
the club has been very effective in keeping things quiet or that
might be it. Otherwise it looks like we are relying on academy
promotions to replace the departing squad filler.
Overall at this stage it doesn't look like we'll have a markedly
better squad than this season, which seems likely to deliver a
7th place finish (which might even have been eighth, but for
Saints resting players for their CC final).

I didn't realise he was that old. And yes, I'd also forgotten
that Cleaves is another part of the equation.
Of the two, I'd say Cass has the greater potential. However, I
don't know if he has the same work rate as Roma. I hope he
doesn't turn out to be a player with more style than substance,
if you catch my drift.

At least now we won't have to have certain people defending
Archie White's presence in the squad for a premiership rugby
team
It's a lot of people and I don't know if CCS playing lock
recently is baking in future problems, because as everyone says
we're really light there. No issues with Hammond leaving as he's
been a problem for us, but I'd love to know the thinking behind
all of this.
Said a season ago that we'd soon lose one of Musk, Riley, or
Head, so decision made I guess.

I reckon all it needs is a fairly minor shift in tactics and a
significant improvement in general hunger and energy both sides
of the ball for at least 60 mins per game and we'll be
competitive in the league.

There is a lack of rumours but let be honest, the 3 signings we
made came out of nowhere. Not panic stations yet
