In two minds about this. I'd rather keep him as a squad player,
but he does have some injury problems and in all honesty hasn't
really played a great deal for us the last few seasons compared
to others, so I don't think we would miss him as much as some
may think. That said I'd prefer to keep him and get rid of
Launchbury but Joe is already under contract for next season.

A catch 22. He's a very good player so would love to keep him
but can't argue with MQs smarts on this one. Sod's law he'll go
there, stay fit for 2 years and be a world beater 😁

Feels like when he finally became an excellent player we weren't
able to reap the rewards thanks to injuries and callups. A real
shame.

Yes, quite. He's been unlucky with injuries but we seem to have
a few in that category and I'm not sure if that's
affordable/sustainable in the long term.

Just having a look and for one reason or another he's had 41
appearances in the last 3 seasons including this one. Joe
Launchbury actually has more appearances in 2 seasons, so on
balance if he can go elsewhere for maybe a better contract and
be a starter (which he really isn't for us a lot of time when
others are fit, and certainly wont be next season) cant blame
him for going and maybe best for all parties.

Always liked Dino - he's a big guy and always thought he should
give us good forward momentum - however when looking back, I
can't think of many instances where he has been a standout
performer.

Sometimes, a good lock is the one you don't notice.
You very often only notice them when they are doing something
daft.
E.g. I thought that Ernie had a really good game on Saturday.
But, in hindsight, I can't remember any special moments to back
it up.
